Blazer Jobs is actively seeking experienced Occupational Therapists for full-time positions within school districts in the Lake Zurich, Illinois area. We are currently conducting interviews for qualified candidates who meet all local and state requirements for this role.
- Valid Occupational Therapist license issued by the State of Illinois.
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or related field.
- Previous experience working with pediatric populations, especially in educational settings, is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of relevant state and federal regulations governing occupational therapy services in school settings.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and other professionals.
- Dedication to maintaining ethical and professional standards in practice.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' sensory processing, motor skills, and functional abilities.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and student needs.
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students to address deficits in areas such as fine motor skills, handwriting, sensory integration, and activities of daily living.
- Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to support the integration of therapy goals into the educational curriculum.
- Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to provide updates on students' progress and recommendations for home-based support.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Maintain accurate and organized documentation of assessment data, therapy sessions, and progress reports.
