Blazerworks is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Paraeducator to join our team in Bruning, NE. - Provide instructional and behavioral support to students with diverse learning needs under the direction of certified teachers and special education staff.
- Assist students with academic tasks, including reading, writing, math, and other subject areas, using instructional materials and strategies provided by classroom teachers.
- Support students with disabilities in accessing the general education curriculum and adapting learning activities to meet individualized education plan (IEP) goals.
- Implement behavior management strategies and interventions to support positive behavior and social skills development in students, promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Assist with classroom organization and management, including setting up materials, preparing instructional resources, and maintaining a clean and orderly learning environment.
- Provide assistance with personal care and daily living tasks for students with special needs, including toileting, feeding, and mobility support, as needed.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and related service providers to support the academic, social, and emotional growth of students.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in areas relevant to supporting students with diverse learning needs.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
- Previous experience working with children or adolescents in educational or childcare settings preferred.
- Knowledge of instructional and behavioral support strategies for students with disabilities, including positive behavior interventions and accommodations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of students with special needs.
