Blazer Jobs is seeking a dedicated School Social Worker to join our team. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' lives while gaining valuable experience in a supportive educational environment.
Position Details:

• Compensation: Commensurate with experience and qualifications
• Hours: Full-time
• Location: Onsite
• Start: ASAP

Key Responsibilities:

• Offer individual and group counseling to students to address emotional, social, and behavioral challenges.
• Conduct assessments to identify student needs and create effective intervention plans.
• Work closely with teachers, parents, and other school staff to establish supportive learning environments.
• Develop and implement programs promoting social and emotional learning.
• Advocate for students' needs and provide resources and referrals to external agencies when necessary.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of student interactions and progress.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to develop and review individualized education plans (IEPs) and other support plans.
• Provide crisis intervention and support when needed.

Requirements:

• Master's Level Degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
• Active state Social Worker License.
• Experience working with children in a school setting is preferred.
• Strong understanding of child development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
