Full-Time Social Worker Opening

Blazer Jobs is actively seeking qualified candidates for a school-based Social Worker position in Pontiac, MI. We are conducting open interviews for this role, which offers a unique opportunity to work with students and families in a supportive educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling to students experiencing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to develop and implement effective support plans for students.
• Conduct assessments to identify students' needs and recommend appropriate interventions.
• Facilitate communication between the school, families, and external support services.
• Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of IEP goals.
• Offer crisis intervention and support for students in distress.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of student progress and interventions.

Requirements:

• Must meet all local and state regulatory requirements for a Social Worker.
• Experience working with special education students and families is highly preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
