Blazer Jobs is actively seeking experienced Special Education Teachers for full-time roles with school districts in the Blue Island, IL area. We are looking for dedicated professionals who meet all local and state requirements.


  • Illinois State Requirements:
    • Hold a valid Illinois teaching license with a special education endorsement.
    • Possess a Bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education or related field from an accredited institution.
    • Complete required background checks and certification examinations as per state regulations.
    • Demonstrate knowledge of Illinois' special education laws and regulations, including the Illinois State Board of Education rules and regulations for Special Education.


  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs, addressing academic, behavioral, and functional skill goals.
  • Provide direct instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs, utilizing evidence-based practices and differentiated instructional strategies.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure the inclusion and academic success of students with disabilities.
  • Monitor student progress through ongoing assessment and data analysis, adjusting instruction and interventions as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student performance, progress reports, and compliance with IEP mandates and state regulations.
  • Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills, stay current on best practices, and fulfill continuing education requirements.
