Job Posting: Adaptive Position (Elementary School)

Location: Kannapolis, NC

Dates: ASAP - May 24th, 2024

Hours: Full-Time (37.5-40 hours per week)

Caseload: Approximately 20-30 elementary students with support materials/members on hand; within a smaller district with a team dynamic and a family-feel; very supportive environment

Responsibilities:

As an educator in this adaptive position, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Supporting and working closely with elementary students who have diverse learning needs.
• Developing and implementing individualized educational plans to address each student's unique requirements.
• Providing direct instruction and support in various academic subjects.
• Collaborating with support team members, including paraprofessionals, to create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Monitoring and documenting student progress and making data-driven instructional decisions.
• Communicating with parents and guardians to provide updates on student performance and progress.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
• North Carolina teaching certification or eligibility for certification.
• Experience working with elementary students with diverse learning needs is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of best practices for adapting instruction to meet individual student needs.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Dedication to the success and well-being of students.
