Position Overview: We are seeking qualified professionals who meet all local and state requirements, including:

• Valid Connecticut Special Education Teacher certification.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
• Previous experience working with students with disabilities is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and ability to develop and implement them.

Typical Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to meet the needs of students.
• Collaborate with other educators, parents, and support staff to create a positive learning environment.
• Modify curriculum and classroom activities to accommodate different learning styles.
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instruction as necessary.
• Provide behavioral support and ensure a safe, inclusive classroom setting.
• Engage in regular professional development and stay updated on best practices in special education.
