Job Responsibilities:
As a Special Education Teacher, your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Adapting and modifying lesson plans to meet the unique learning requirements of each student.
- Providing direct instruction in a small group or one-on-one setting, ensuring each student’s academic and social development.
- Collaborating with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff to foster an inclusive learning environment.
- Communicating regularly with parents, guardians, and multidisciplinary teams regarding student progress.
- Maintaining compliance with district, state, and federal special education regulations and documentation requirements.
Qualifications:
- Current New Hampshire Special Education Teaching License.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Previous experience in a school setting (preferred).
- Knowledge of IEP processes, accommodations, and special education best practices.
- Background check and fingerprint clearance in accordance with state and district requirements.
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
