Responsibilities

As a Special Education Teacher, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to meet students' unique needs.
• Delivering specialized instruction in a variety of settings to support student success.
• Assessing students' abilities and designing lesson plans that align with their goals.
• Collaborating with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure a cohesive educational experience.
• Maintaining accurate records of student progress and compliance with federal, state, and district regulations.
• Providing a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters growth and learning.
• Adapting teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs of students.

Requirements

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
• Valid Arizona teaching certification in Special Education.
• Fingerprint Clearance Card (IVP) as required by the state of Arizona.
• Previous experience working with students with special needs (preferred).
• Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
