Full-Time Special Education Teacher
Location: Atlanta, Georgia
Certification Required: GAPSC (Georgia Professional Standards Commission)
Start Date: ASAP, with a commitment through the end of the 2023/2024 school year
Grade Levels: K-8
Position Details:
We are actively seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers to join our team in Atlanta, Georgia. In these full-time roles, you will serve as lead teachers for students in grades K-8 who require special education services. The successful candidates will hold GACPC certification, have a passion for special education, and be committed to supporting the academic and personal growth of their students.
Responsibilities:

  • Lead Teaching: Assume a lead teacher role for students with special needs, delivering instruction and support tailored to their individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Curriculum Development: Develop and adapt curriculum materials to meet the unique learning needs of your students.
  • IEP Planning: Collaborate with IEP teams to develop and implement effective educational strategies and goals.
  • Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess and document student progress, adjusting instructional methods and interventions as needed.
  • Behavioral Support: Provide behavior management and intervention strategies to support students with behavioral challenges.
  • Parent Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with parents and guardians, updating them on student progress and involving them in the educational process.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other educators, support staff, and administrators to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Interview Process:

  • Two on-site interviews will be required as part of the selection process.

Hourly Rate:

  • The hourly rate will be discussed during the interview process, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
