Position: Special Education Teacher
School District: Walterboro, SC
Start Date: ASAP for the 2024-2025 school year
End Date: May 29, 2025
Schedule: Full-time, Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 3:45 p.m. (37.5 hours per week)
Caseload: 11 students, primarily 1st – 3rd grade
License Requirements: Must hold a license in the state of SC with Multi-Category on Licensure
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students in 1st to 3rd grade
- Provide specialized instruction and support to meet the diverse needs of students
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure the success of each student
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional methods as necessary
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
