Position Overview: We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education (SPED) Teacher to join our team in Killingly, CT. The SPED Teacher will play a crucial role in supporting students with diverse learning needs and ensuring they receive the education and support they require to succeed.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
  • Provide differentiated instruction and support to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
  • Foster a safe and nurturing classroom environment that promotes student engagement and growth.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Valid Connecticut teaching certification in Special Education.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience working with students with diverse learning needs is a plus.
  • Passion for making a positive impact on the lives of students with disabilities.
