Position Overview:

As a SPED Teacher at Blazerworks, you will play a crucial role in supporting and facilitating the education of students with special needs. You will work collaboratively with students, families, and colleagues to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
  • Provide specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to create an inclusive classroom environment.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, making necessary adjustments to instructional strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and IEP goals.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and educational goals.
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities to stay current on best practices in SPED education.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Valid Georgia teaching certification in Special Education.
  • Experience working with students with diverse learning needs.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Dedication to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
