Job Description: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education (SPED) Teacher to join our team for the 2023-2024 school year in Austin, TX. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with diverse learning needs and a commitment to providing high-quality education and support.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
  • Adapt instructional materials and strategies to meet the unique needs of each student
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure the success of students with disabilities
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instruction as needed
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and progress
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • Valid Texas teaching certification in Special Education
  • Experience working with students with disabilities in an educational setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
