Blazer Jobs is currently interviewing for an experienced Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join school districts in the Palmer, MA area. This full-time position provides an excellent opportunity to support students in their speech and language development while working in a collaborative school environment.

Job Responsibilities:

As an SLPA, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) in delivering speech and language therapy services to students.
  • Implementing therapy plans designed by SLPs to support speech and language goals.
  • Conducting speech and language screenings and assisting with assessments.
  • Monitoring and documenting student progress towards therapy goals.
  • Providing direct therapy under the supervision of an SLP, following individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Assisting with the development of materials and activities to support student therapy sessions.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records and data related to student progress.
  • Collaborating with teachers and other professionals to support students' communication needs.

Requirements:

Applicants must meet the following local and state requirements:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders, Speech Pathology, or a related field (required).
  • Current MA Speech Language Pathologist Assistant license or certification (required).
  • Experience working with students in an educational setting (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of speech and language development and therapeutic techniques.
  • Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and staff in a collaborative environment.
  • Ability to pass a background check and meet district-specific requirements.
