We are currently seeking a dedicated and qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team.
Job Description:
As a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), you will play a crucial role in helping middle school students develop effective communication skills and overcome speech and language challenges. You will assess, diagnose, and treat communication disorders, as well as collaborate with educators and families to provide individualized intervention plans. Your expertise and dedication will empower students to succeed academically and socially.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' speech and language abilities.
- Diagnose and identify communication disorders and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide direct therapy services to students with speech and language difficulties.
- Design and implement evidence-based interventions to target specific goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication needs in the classroom.
- Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting intervention plans as necessary.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development and review of students' IEPs.
- Provide guidance and support to teachers regarding strategies to facilitate students' communication skills in the classroom.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Experience working with middle school students, preferably in an educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of assessment tools, intervention strategies, and treatment techniques for speech and language disorders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Ability to maintain accurate records, write reports, and document progress.
