Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Full Time, Onsite

Blazer Jobs is partnering with the Thomasville School District to find a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming school year. This full-time, onsite position will be a key player in supporting students from PreK to 12th grade with special communicative needs.
Position Overview:
- Location: Thomasville, NC
- Hours: 40 hours/week
- Schedule: Full-time, School Year 2024-2025
- Reports to: Principal(s) or Exceptional Children’s Preschool Handicapped Lead Teacher, Program Administrator of Exceptional Children, Executive Director of Exceptional Children
Responsibilities:
- Planning and Oversight: Organize the school program, cooperate with others, coordinate services with other student services, and maintain records in accordance with established standards.
- Documentation: Maintain Medicaid billing profiles and therapy notes for eligible students using the designated billing service.
- Screening and Testing: Conduct screenings, tests, and diagnostics to make recommendations for programs and services.
- Individual Education Programs: Develop IEPs in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
- Therapy Management: Plan and conduct therapy, manage time, facilities, and resources effectively.
- Liaison Duties: Provide consultation, seek assistance, and make recommendations and referrals for services.
Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Licensing: G License from the NC Department of Public Instruction; Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA preferred; Board of Examiners license preferred.
- Experience: Supervision of speech-language assistants and clinical fellows is a plus.
