Position Overview:

• Role: School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
• Location: Fairbanks, AK
• School Year: 2025-2026
• Caseload: K-12 (Diverse student population)
• Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday (Middle School Hours: 7:30 AM - 2:30 PM)

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to determine student eligibility for speech-language services.
• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to the specific needs of each student.
• Provide direct speech and language therapy in individual and group settings across all grade levels.
• Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student communication development.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress.
• Participate actively in IEP meetings and other relevant school meetings.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current and valid Alaska SLP license.
• Experience working with a diverse K-12 student population is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of speech and language disorders across all age groups.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to adapt to a unique and dynamic school environment within the interior of Alaska.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Competitive hourly rate, commensurate with experience, offered as a W2 contract.
• The average hourly pay range for W2 contract School SLPs in the Fairbanks, AK, area is approximately $45-$65, with the actual rate determined by qualifications, experience, and the cost of living considerations.
