Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday (Middle School Hours: 7:30 AM - 2:30 PM)
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to determine student eligibility for speech-language services.
Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to the specific needs of each student.
Provide direct speech and language therapy in individual and group settings across all grade levels.
Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student communication development.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress.
Participate actively in IEP meetings and other relevant school meetings.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
Current and valid Alaska SLP license.
Experience working with a diverse K-12 student population is highly preferred.
Strong understanding of speech and language disorders across all age groups.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
Ability to adapt to a unique and dynamic school environment within the interior of Alaska.
Compensation and Benefits:
Competitive hourly rate, commensurate with experience, offered as a W2 contract.
The average hourly pay range for W2 contract School SLPs in the Fairbanks, AK, area is approximately $45-$65, with the actual rate determined by qualifications, experience, and the cost of living considerations.
