We are hiring multiple paraprofessionals to join our district in Gettysburg, PA! Our paras will be assisting our special education classrooms in 1:1 and classroom support based roles. If you are interested, please read the description below and apply.

Duration: ASAP - May 2025
Full Time: 37.5 hours a week
Caseload: Elementary School Special Education Student

Job Duties

• Support student instruction by assisting with practical training in various subjects.
• Help teachers with tasks such as implementing instructional plans, adapting curriculum, organizing materials, and facilitating classroom activities.
• Assist in addressing students' specific needs, including behavior redirection, feeding, mobility, diapering, toileting, and supervising during bus loading/unloading and outings.
• Promote a safe learning environment by collaborating with staff to meet student needs.
• Monitor, evaluate, and document student progress, particularly related to Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), while maintaining confidentiality.

Requirements:

• Associate's degree or passing Para Pro or Work Keys assessment
• 1+ years experience working with K-12 Special education students
• Reliable transportation

Hourly Pay: $22-24+ an hour; benefits are offered but optional
