Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute IEPs tailored to each student’s unique needs.
  • Provide instruction in both self-contained and inclusive classroom settings.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers to adapt and modify curriculum.
  • Regularly monitor and report on student progress toward IEP goals.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders.
  • Serve as an advocate for students with disabilities, ensuring their needs are met.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field.
  • Valid Virginia teaching license with a Special Education endorsement.
  • At least 1 year of professional experience in a school-based role.
  • Strong understanding of special education laws and best practices.
