High School Co Teacher - Special Education

Location: Frederick County, Winchester, VA

Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated High School Co-Teacher/Pull-Out educator to join our team in Frederick County, Winchester, VA. In this role, you will work collaboratively with students, teachers, and other stakeholders to provide additional instruction and support to high school students who may benefit from pull-out services.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with classroom teachers to identify students in need of additional instruction or support.
• Assist in the planning and implementation of pull-out sessions, tailoring instruction to meet the individual needs of students.
• Provide targeted instruction in areas such as math, reading, or other subjects as needed.
• Monitor and assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance during pull-out sessions.
• Communicate regularly with classroom teachers, parents, and school staff to ensure a coordinated approach to student support.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and encouraged.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
• Valid teaching license or certification in the state of Virginia.
• Previous experience working in a co-teaching or pull-out capacity is preferred but not required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to adapt instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Commitment to the academic and social-emotional growth of all students.
