Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Special Education Teacher for our High School RISE Program. The Reaching Independence through a Structured Environment (RISE) classroom is tailored for students requiring a highly structured setting, emphasizing language intensity and applying principles of Applied Behavior Analysis and Verbal Behavior. The primary goal is to impart language, pre-academic, and learning readiness skills to students in an environment that supports their unique needs.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and implement an instructional program that adheres to the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis and Verbal Behavior.
- Create and maintain a structured and supportive learning environment.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to address the diverse needs of students.
- Utilize effective behavior management strategies to foster a positive learning environment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor s degree in Special Education or related field.
- Texas Teaching Certification in Special Education.
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs.
- Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis and Verbal Behavior principles.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
