Hiring ELA Special Education Teacher - Southlake, TX - Contract Job

Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Special Education Teachers for a full-time role within school districts in the Southlake, TX area. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
• Adapt lesson plans to meet the needs of students with varying learning challenges and abilities.
• Provide instruction in core subjects, with a focus on English Language Arts and Reading for grades 7–12.
• Work closely with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure student progress and goal achievement.
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as necessary.
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure that student needs are met.
• Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth.

Special Requirements: 

• Valid Texas Special Education certification.
• Certification in English Language Arts and Reading 7–12.
• A bachelor's degree in education or a related field.
• Passing a comprehensive background check as per state and district guidelines.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with students, parents, and colleagues.
