Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Special Education Teachers for a full-time role within school districts in the Southlake, TX area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
- Adapt lesson plans to meet the needs of students with varying learning challenges and abilities.
- Provide instruction in core subjects, with a focus on English Language Arts and Reading for grades 7–12.
- Work closely with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure student progress and goal achievement.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as necessary.
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure that student needs are met.
- Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth.
Special Requirements:
- Valid Texas Special Education certification.
- Certification in English Language Arts and Reading 7–12.
- A bachelor's degree in education or a related field.
- Passing a comprehensive background check as per state and district guidelines.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with students, parents, and colleagues.
