Position Overview: As an SLP in Houston, TX, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse student population and help address communication and swallowing disorders. You will play a crucial role in providing assessments, interventions, and therapy services to support students' speech and language development. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments to identify speech and language disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and therapy interventions
  • Provide direct therapy services to students with communication and swallowing disorders
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students' academic and social-emotional needs
  • Monitor and track students' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide input on students' goals and objectives
  • Provide consultation and support to teachers and other educational professionals on strategies for supporting students with speech and language needs
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of assessment results, treatment plans, and progress notes
  • Stay informed about current research and best practices in the field of speech-language pathology
  • Adhere to ethical and professional standards of practice and conduct


  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
  • Texas state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP
  • At least one year of experience working as an SLP in an educational or clinical setting
  • Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations related to special education and speech-language pathology services
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement
