Position Overview:

  • Location: Huntsville, AL
  • Position Type: Full-Time
  • Role: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
  • Focus: Behavioral Support for K-12 Students with Special Needs

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Implement Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIPs):
    As an RBT, you will implement individualized BIPs to address the specific needs of each student. By modifying behaviors and improving academic performance, you’ll help students succeed in and out of the classroom.

  2. Collaborate with Teachers and Families:
    You will work closely with teachers, families, and other professionals to ensure a collaborative approach in supporting students. Regular communication and teamwork will be essential to providing the best care for each student.

  3. Track and Monitor Student Progress:
    Documenting and monitoring student progress will be an essential part of your role. You’ll assess both behavioral and academic growth, adjusting interventions as necessary to ensure students are progressing toward their goals.

  4. Foster a Positive, Inclusive Learning Environment:
    You will play a key role in creating a classroom environment that is supportive, inclusive, and engaging. Your efforts will help students feel valued and motivated to learn.

What We’re Looking For:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and empathetic RBT who is committed to helping students with special needs succeed. The ideal candidate will possess:

Required Qualifications:

  • Active RBT Certification (or ability to obtain certification in Alabama)
  • National RBT Certification
  • A strong passion for working with students with behavioral and academic challenges

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with students with autism, emotional/behavioral disorders, or other developmental disabilities
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Patience, empathy, and a student-focused mindset
