Key Responsibilities:

• Create and implement individualized lesson plans for students with disabilities.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to ensure all students have access to the general education curriculum.
• Develop and monitor IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) to track student progress.
• Provide direct instruction, as well as individualized and small group support to students.
• Assist in behavior management and social skill development to ensure students’ success in the classroom.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with families.

Qualifications (Washington):

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field.
• Valid Washington State Special Education Teaching Certification.
• Experience with IEP development and implementation.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• At least one year of experience in special education.
