Inclusive Education Support Specialist

Blazer Jobs is seeking dedicated and passionate individuals to join our team as Inclusive Education Support Specialists. In this role, you will work in school-based settings to provide essential support to students with diverse learning needs, ensuring they thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
 

1. Key Responsibilities:

   • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
   • Provide direct instruction in small groups or one-on-one settings.
   • Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to create inclusive learning environments.
   • Monitor and document student progress, adapting strategies as needed to meet goals.
   • Facilitate IEP meetings and maintain compliance with all state and federal special education regulations.
   • Use a variety of teaching techniques to support students in achieving their potential.

   Requirements:

   • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education or related field required. A Master’s Degree is preferred in some states.
   • Certification: Active state-specific teaching certification with appropriate endorsements for exceptional learners is required.
   • Experience: At least one year of experience in a school-based or similar educational role preferred.
   • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
   • Knowledge of and experience with implementing accommodations, modifications, and behavior intervention plans.
