Position Summary:

The School-Based Occupational Therapist will play a vital role in supporting the academic and social-emotional success of students with diverse learning needs. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) that address occupational therapy goals and improve student function.

  • Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments.
  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) in collaboration with the IEP team.
  • Provide direct and indirect therapy services to students in various educational settings.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to student care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current and valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children in a school setting (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of pediatric occupational therapy assessments and interventions.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
  • Passion for working with children and a commitment to student success.
