Intervention Specialist  (Full-Time)

Location: Springfield, Ohio
Blazer Jobs is currently seeking a dedicated and qualified Special Education Teacher for a full-time position within school districts in the Springfield, Ohio. We are actively interviewing candidates who are passionate about making a positive impact on students with special needs and who are committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of each student.
  • Adapt and modify curriculum materials to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
  • Provide direct instruction to students with a range of disabilities, including intellectual, emotional, and physical disabilities.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and support staff to ensure that students receive appropriate accommodations and modifications.
  • Assess students' academic and social progress regularly and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
  • Create a safe and supportive classroom environment that promotes the academic, social, and emotional growth of all students.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on student progress and to involve them in the educational process.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with federal, state, and district regulations.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in special education.

Qualifications:

  • Must hold a valid OH Special Education Teacher certification.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • Experience working with students with a variety of disabilities in a school setting.
  • Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to special education.
