We are hiring a long term substitute paraprofessional to join our school district in South Saint Paul, MN! Our para will be assisting our special education classrooms in 1:1 support based roles. If you are interested, please read the description below and apply.

Location: South Saint Paul, MN
Duration: ASAP - March 2025
Full Time: 32.5 hours a week
Caseload: Assisting High School Students in a resource room 


Job Duties

• Support the student with academic tasks, including reading, writing, and comprehension, under the direction of the classroom teacher. 
• Provide assistance to students with special needs throughout the day, ensuring they have access to general curriculum and classroom activities.
• Help with personal care needs, such as mobility, toileting and feeding, if required. 
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other school staff to implement the student's Individualized Education Plan (IEPs).

Requirements:

• At least two years of college credits (usually 60 credits if earned in Minnesota) through an accredited institution of higher education; or
  • An associate’s degree or higher; or
  • A passing score on an approved, formal assessment demonstrating the knowledge and ability to assist with instruction in reading/language arts, writing, mathematics or readiness for each
• Experience working with special education students
• Must have reliable transportation

Hourly Pay: $20-25+
