Job Open: Paraprofessional Needed in Willimantic, CT

Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced paraprofessionals for a full-time role within school districts in the Willimantic, CT area. 

Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers in delivering instructional support and implementing lesson plans.
• Work with students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning and address specific needs.
• Provide support to students with disabilities or behavioral challenges by implementing accommodations or interventions as directed.
• Supervise students during transitions, lunch, recess, or other non-instructional periods.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide feedback to teachers or school staff.
• Foster a safe, supportive, and structured learning environment for all students.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher preferred.
• Completion of the Connecticut Paraprofessional Assessment or proof of meeting the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) standards (e.g., at least two years of college coursework).
• Prior experience in a school or childcare setting is highly desirable.
• Ability to pass a background check, as required by Connecticut law.
• Strong collaboration skills and a commitment to supporting diverse student needs.
