Blazer Jobs is hiring a Life Skills Special Education Teacher to support K-3rd grade students with nonverbal communication needs in Wolcott, CT.
Develop and implement specialized lesson plans tailored to students with significant disabilities.
Utilize AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) and other nonverbal communication methods.
Collaborate with speech therapists, occupational therapists, and support staff.
Modify curriculum to meet individual student needs.
Ensure compliance with IEPs and state regulations.
Valid Connecticut Teaching Certification in Special Education
Experience working with nonverbal students and life skills curriculum
Minimum of one year of experience in a school setting
Strong collaborative and adaptive teaching skills
