General Position Details:

• Title: Special Education Teaching Assistant / Paraprofessional 
• Standard School Year Calendar
• Hours: Standard School Day (M-F)
• The location of the school site will be determined based on your experience and preferences.
• Pay: Starting at $25.00+ per hour, based on years of relevant experience in a school setting.

Typical Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one and group support to special education students, assisting with classroom activities and individualized learning plans.
• Collaborate with teachers and specialists to implement IEPs, behavioral plans, and accommodations.
• Foster an inclusive, supportive environment to encourage student development and engagement.
• Assist special education students with daily tasks and routines, ensuring their safety and well-being.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; an Associate’s degree or relevant college coursework is a plus.
• Paraprofessional Certification or Substitute Teaching Certification is a plus.
• Prior experience working with children or young adults with special needs is highly preferred.
