Job Title: Full-Time/Full School Year (FT/FSY) Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

Position Details:
- Employment Type: Full-Time/Full School Year (FT/FSY)
- Caseload: Typically 40-55 students
- Student Population: Primarily students with moderate to severe disabilities, ages 4-18.
- Travel: Candidate will be required to travel to multiple school locations within the district.
Responsibilities:
- Implement occupational therapy treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist (OTR).
- Provide direct and indirect therapy services to students in various school settings.
- Assist students in developing and improving fine motor skills, gross motor skills, sensory processing, and self-help skills.
- Adapt activities and environments to meet the individual needs of students.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy services.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team.
- Follow all ethical and professional standards of practice.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid CA COTA license.
- Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
- Experience: 2 years of experience working with children with disabilities ages 4-18 in an occupational therapy or educational setting is preferred.
- Strong understanding of pediatric occupational therapy principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
