School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - Anchorage, AK - 2025-2026 School Year

Position Highlights:

• Diverse Caseload: Work with students from kindergarten through 12th grade, providing a wide range of services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to determine student eligibility for speech-language services.
• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to the specific needs of each student.
• Provide direct speech and language therapy in individual and group settings across all grade levels.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student communication development.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress.
• Participate in IEP meetings and other relevant meetings.

Qualifications:

• Alaska educator license through the DOE.
• Current and valid Alaska SLP license.
• Experience working with a diverse K-12 student population preferred.
• Strong understanding of speech and language disorders across all age groups.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to adapt to a unique and dynamic school environment.

Schedule:

• Middle School Hours: 7:30 AM - 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
• K-12 caseload.
• Full-time position.

Compensation:

• Competitive hourly rate, commensurate with experience, offered as a W2 contract.
• The average hourly pay range for W2 contract School SLPs in the Anchorage, AK, area is approximately $45-$65, with the actual rate determined by qualifications and experience, and the cost of living within the area.
