State Requirements:
To work as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in Virginia, candidates must have a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, a current Virginia Board of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology license, and ASHA’s Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC). A valid Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) license is also required for school-based positions.

Blazer Jobs is looking for a compassionate and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) to work with K-12 students in Winchester, VA. Job Description:

• Assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders in K-12 students.
• Create and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each student's needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student learning.
• Conduct IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student goals.
• Provide direct speech therapy sessions in both individual and group settings.
• Maintain accurate student records, track progress, and ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines.

Experience and Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA.
• Virginia SLP license and VDOE certification.
• Experience working with K-12 students in a school setting preferred.
• Strong understanding of IEP processes and special education services.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
