Blazer Jobs is partnering with a school district near Belle Chasse, LA, to hire a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time position. Key Responsibilities:
- Student Support: Evaluate and provide therapy to students with speech, language, and communication disorders.
- IEP Development: Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) based on students' needs.
- Progress Monitoring: Track student progress, adjust therapy approaches, and ensure goals are being met.
- Collaboration: Work closely with school staff to support students in achieving their academic and personal growth goals.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions, progress reports, and treatment plans in compliance with school district and state guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Licensure: Valid Speech Language Pathologist license in Louisiana. Must meet state and local certification requirements.
- Experience: Prior experience working with students in a school setting is preferred.
- Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of IEP processes and procedures.
