• Hold a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with a Special Education Endorsement (LBS1 or ASD, CI, EI, etc.).
• Possess a bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field.
• Pass the required Michigan Test for Teacher Certification (MTTC) for Special Education.
• Complete a state-approved educator preparation program.
• Meet continuing education requirements as outlined by the Michigan Department of Education (MDE).
