Learning Behavior Specialist Teacher (6 Week Duration)

Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing for a short term Learning Behavior Specialist Teacher position in the Naperville, IL area. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a local school district. We are seeking qualified professionals dedicated to supporting students with learning and behavioral needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized instruction to students with learning disabilities, behavioral challenges, or other special needs.
  • Develop and implement IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) in accordance with state and district guidelines.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure a positive learning environment.
  • Assess students' progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
  • Maintain clear and accurate records of student performance, attendance, and behavior.

Requirements:

  • Illinois State Certification as a Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1).
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education or a related field (Master’s Degree preferred).
  • Previous experience working with students with special needs, particularly in a school setting.
  • Familiarity with the IEP process and ability to develop and monitor student progress toward goals.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
