Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Needed in De Soto, KS for the ESY Program

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team for the Extended School Year (ESY) program in De Soto, KS. This part-time position will run from June 5, 2023, to June 29, 2023, providing healthcare support to students with diverse needs. As an LPN, you will work closely with students, parents, and the educational team to ensure the well-being and safety of students during the ESY program.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care and support to students during the ESY program
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed
• Monitor students' health conditions and promptly respond to any medical concerns or emergencies
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized healthcare plans (IHCPs)
• Assist with health assessments and screenings as needed
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date health records, including documentation of medications, treatments, and interventions
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and the educational team regarding students' health needs
• Ensure a safe and healthy environment for students through health promotion and disease prevention initiatives

Requirements:

• Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Kansas
• Previous experience working as an LPN, preferably in a school or pediatric setting
• Strong knowledge of healthcare protocols and procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• Dedication to providing high-quality healthcare support to students
