Hours: Full-time
Job details: Provide essential support in classrooms across Lehigh and Carbon counties, assisting students and teachers in creating a positive learning environment.

If so, Carbon Lehigh IU 21 wants YOU! We are seeking dedicated and motivated Paraprofessionals to join our team and make a real difference in the lives of students with diverse needs.

What You'll Do:

  • Implement behavior intervention plans to support positive student behavior.
  • Assist teachers with instructional activities and classroom management.
  • Provide individualized support to students with different learning styles and needs.
  • Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment for all students.
  • Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families to ensure student success.

What We're Looking For:

  • High school diploma and paraprofessional certification OR 48 college credits OR associate's or bachelor's degree.
  • One year experience in Human Services or Education preferred.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Patience, compassion, and a positive attitude.
  • Willingness to obtain a 06 Substitute Teacher Permit after hire (preferred).
  • IN PERSON INTERVIEWS ONLY. PRIOR PARA EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.
