Malakoff, TX - Special Education Teacher (2024-2025 School Year)

About the Role:

We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Special Education Teacher to join our school in Malakoff, TX. In this role, you’ll make a lasting difference by providing students with special needs the individualized support and guidance they need to succeed both academically and emotionally. Your Responsibilities:

• Design and Implement IEPs
  Develop and execute individualized education plans (IEPs) for each student, working with parents and multidisciplinary teams to ensure their unique needs are met.

• Create an Inclusive and Safe Classroom Environment
  Foster an atmosphere of respect, encouragement, and safety where all students feel valued and supported in their learning journey.

• Collaborate Across Teams
  Partner with general education teachers, specialists, administrators, and parents to provide a coordinated approach to supporting students’ success.

• Behavioral and Emotional Support
  Implement strategies that help students manage challenging behaviors, build social-emotional skills, and stay engaged with their education.

• Professional Growth and Development
  Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current on special education trends and best practices.

What We’re Looking For:

• Qualifications:

  • Special Education Certification in Texas (or eligibility to obtain one)
  • Degree in Special Education (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate)
  • Strong communication skills, organizational skills, and ability to work collaboratively

• Experience:

  • Experience working with students who have special needs is preferred, but we also welcome new graduates who are eager to make a difference.
