Middle School 1:1 Paraprofessional for EOSY in Simi Valley, CA

We are working with a local school district located in Simi Valley, CA to hire an experienced Paraprofessional for the remainder of the 22/23 school year (EOSY). The hired Paraprofessional will be responsible to work 1:1 with an assigned middle school student; fully onsite.

The hired Paraprofessional can potentially extend their contract position for the summer semester and into the following school year – this will be dependent upon performance and client need at the time.

Job Details:

• The hired Paraprofessional must be proficient in ASL (American Sign Language); the assigned student is deaf and will require communication/support utilizing sign language

Candidate Requirements:

• At least 1+ year of professional experience working with children/students REQUIRED
• Experienced in ASL (American Sign Language)
• Active AHA BLS certification (REQUIRED)
• Valid High school diploma or GED
• Active and valid driver’s license

Schedule/Shifts:

• Fulltime, Mon-Fri (normal school hours); 30-37.5 hours fulltime guaranteed
• No paid holidays or school breaks
• No overtime
