Middle School Special Education Teacher (SPED) - Chester, PA

We are partnering with a school in the Chester, Pennsylvania area to find a full-time Special Education Teacher (SPED) to support students for the current school year. We are looking for a knowledgeable and talented candidate to join our Special Education team!

Requirements: 

• Must have a valid Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate
• Must have an active Pennsylvania Special Education License
• Must have Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Special Education, or related field
• Must be willing and able to complete Pennsylvania credentialing process (Background check, Physical, TB Test, etc.)

Position Details:

• Current School Year
• Full-Time: up to 40 hours per week
• Caseload: 6th - 8th grade; specific caseload details will be discussed during the interview process

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement IEPs that cater to the specific needs of each student, setting achievable and measurable educational goals.
• Use a variety of instructional strategies and materials to enhance learning and meet the diverse needs of students.
• Assess students’ performance and track their progress, adapting educational plans accordingly.
