Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
• Provide differentiated instruction in a middle school setting to support students with disabilities.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to create inclusive learning environments.
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
• Implement positive behavioral interventions and supports to promote student engagement.
• Conduct assessments to identify students' strengths, challenges, and progress.
• Maintain compliance with state and federal special education regulations.
• Foster a supportive and encouraging classroom environment where all students feel valued and empowered.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field (required).
• Valid Pennsylvania teaching certification with a Special Education endorsement (required).
• Proven experience working with middle school students in a special education setting (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with assistive technologies and accommodations for diverse learners (preferred).
• Must meet all local and state requirements, including:
  • Passing a background check and fingerprint clearance.
