Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Middle School Special Education Teachers for a full-time position in the Aston, PA area. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with students who have diverse learning needs and to make a meaningful impact on their educational journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Provide differentiated instruction in a middle school setting to support students with disabilities.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to create inclusive learning environments.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
- Implement positive behavioral interventions and supports to promote student engagement.
- Conduct assessments to identify students' strengths, challenges, and progress.
- Maintain compliance with state and federal special education regulations.
- Foster a supportive and encouraging classroom environment where all students feel valued and empowered.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field (required).
- Valid Pennsylvania teaching certification with a Special Education endorsement (required).
- Proven experience working with middle school students in a special education setting (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with assistive technologies and accommodations for diverse learners (preferred).
- Must meet all local and state requirements, including:
- Passing a background check and fingerprint clearance.
