Description:
North Allegheny School District is seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to fill multiple Paraprofessional positions at our Middle School. These positions are temporary and will focus on providing support to students with Autism and Intellectual Disabilities who may exhibit challenging behaviors.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework in education or related field preferred.
- Experience working with students with Autism and Intellectual Disabilities is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
- Willingness to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Ability to adapt to the unique needs of each student.
- Must pass a background check and meet all relevant state and district requirements.
