A school in Farmington, NH is currently looking for Special Education Teachers for the 2024 - 2025 school year. These are full time positions with elementary and middle school caseloads available.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of each student.
- Create a supportive, engaging, and adaptive classroom environment that promotes learning and growth for all students.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods and strategies to address different learning styles and needs.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional approaches as needed.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to share progress, set goals, and address any concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, assessments, and IEPs.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and stay current with best practices in special education and child development.
Details:
- Full Time at 32.5 hours a week
- Contract
- 2024 - 2025 School Year
- Caseload: Elementary Positions and Middle School Positions
- Additional caseload details will be discussed on the virtual interview.
- Specific Duties:
- Administer assessments
- Implement data collection, review, and modify treatment according to data
- Document progress on goals and report to parents at end of marking term
- Provides specially designed instruction and plans and/or monitors student progress while meeting the individual needs, interests, abilities, and goals of students.
- Creates a classroom environment that is conductive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Special Education / Education or related field
- Active State Teaching License
