Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - Multiple Needs

Location: Louisiana (LA)

Position Type: Full-Time, Contract

School Year: 24-25

Overview: We are seeking Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) with expertise in addressing multiple needs within a school setting. This is a full-time contract position for the upcoming 24-25 school year in Louisiana. As an SLP, you will play a crucial role in supporting students' communication and language development, collaborating with educators, and providing specialized services to meet diverse needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify communication disorders and determine appropriate interventions.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address speech, language, and communication goals.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students with various communication disorders, including articulation, language, fluency, and pragmatic difficulties.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' academic and social success.
  • Monitor progress, adjust intervention strategies as needed, and document student outcomes.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of IEP goals and objectives.
  • Provide consultation and support to educational staff regarding communication strategies and accommodations for students with speech and language needs.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current state licensure as an SLP in Louisiana.
  • ASHA Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
  • Experience working with students with diverse communication needs, including but not limited to articulation disorders, language delays, autism spectrum disorders, and social communication difficulties.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices in speech-language therapy and familiarity with relevant assessment tools and intervention strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, parents, and community stakeholders.
