Key Responsibilities:
Provide specialized instruction to students with diverse learning needs, adapting curriculum and teaching methods as necessary to meet individualized education plans (IEPs).
Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters the academic, social, and emotional growth of students with disabilities.
Collaborate with other educators, support staff, and parents to develop and implement effective strategies to support student success.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and prepare reports in compliance with special education regulations.
Stay current with best practices and trends in special education, incorporating new approaches into teaching strategies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field.
Valid Special Education teaching certification in the state of Illinois.
Strong understanding of special education laws and regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help students with special needs succeed.
