Multiple Substitute Teachers Needed | Zion, Illinois | PreK - 8th Grade Openings

Our partner school in the Zion, Illinois area is looking for multiple Building Substitute Teachers for the current school year!

Position Details:

• Current School Year
• Full-Time: up to 40 hours per week
• Caseload: PreK- 8th, additional details will be discussed during the interview process
• Pay Range: $25 - $35 per hour, depending on previous experience

Requirements:

• Option 1:
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution of higher education
  • Submit a substitute teaching application in ELIS
• Option 2:
  • Actively enrolled in an approved educator preparation program through a regionally accredited institution in Illinois
  • Have recently completed (within the last semester) at least 90 semester hours of coursework as a part of the approved Illinois educator preparation program
  • Transfer coursework may be used towards the 90 semester hours if accepted by the Illinois educator preparation program
  • Have a Professional Educator License in pre-completion status on your ELIS account
  • Submit a substitute teaching application in ELIS

Responsibilities:

• Deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences.
• Use a variety of instructional strategies to provide equity and excellence to students of all ability levels.
• Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use information to adjust teaching strategies.
